Terminal 1: T1 was opened in 1959. Now it is mainly for China Southern Airlines domestic flights. There is a 750 meter channel liking the terminal 1 to the terminal 2. It only takes 5 minutes' walking between the two terminals. The channel keeps the visitors from taking the wrong path and missing their flights. In front of the terminal 1, there is a big parking lot. It is easy to find a taxi or the shuttle bus. The terminal 1 is the smalliest of the three at the Beijing Capital International Airport. In the terminal 1, there are about 50 check-in counters, so this visitor reduces queuing time and passengers will find the boarding much easier, comfortable and convenient.
In the waiting hall of the terminal 1, there are KFC, Lok Hodges, Starbucks a number of affordable fast-food restaurants and coffee shops It is saidthat these stores have not made the commitment to price hikes, in other words, visitors can enjoy these for the same prices elsewhere.

Airport taxi at Terminal 2: Metered taxis are available on the first floor just outside the Arrivals area (travelling time to the city centre: 40 minutes); it is advisable that passengers have the destination written in Chinese or indicated on a map. It"s very often that you have to wait in line for quite some time to catch a taxi. There is no big difference between the various taxi companies in Beijing. When arriving at the airport, keep away from drivers who approach you in the terminal or outside the terminal as they will ask for much more than the actual price. There is a taxi line just outside the terminal. Drivers should use their meter; make sure that the driver puts down the flag. Taking a taxi from the airport to Beijing downtown costs between RMB 100 and 200 according to the different distance. Beijing legitimate taxi license plates will be for the "Beijing B" otherwise it is a black taxi! After paying a legal taxi, you will get a legal computerized receipt in which you can find the taxi company's phone number while a black driver only offers you a hand-written receipt with which you will never find him! A black driver would charge you RMB 400 - RMB 500 for the airport downtown drive. See "Beijing Taxi" for information.
Shuttle bus at Terminal 2: The Airport Shuttle Bus departs from outside Arrivals and takes five routes into the city: Xidan, Gongzhufen, Zhongguancun, Fangzhuang and Beijing Railway Station. The most popular route is to Xidan in central Beijing, a short walk from the Forbidden City. The other routes are to Gongzhufen in western Beijing and to Zhongguancun in the city"s northwest district; Fangzhuang at the southern Beijing and Beijing Railway Station. The shuttle also stops at major hotels on the way. Shuttle Bus Ticket: RMB 16. See "Beijing Airport Shuttle Bus Schedule" for information.
Airport-Downtown Metro: under construction. Check-in: Domestic check-in at the open counters while international check-in at the flight designated. Airport facilities:
Money and communications: Facilities include several banks, an ATM, telephones and a post office. Eating and drinking: There are caf¨¦s and restaurants at the airport. Shopping: there are shops, including duty-free. Other facilities: there is a 24-hour medical centre at the airport. Changing money at the airport enjoys the same rate as the hotels and banks downtown. There is no "Money Change" house like other coutries in Beijing China. All the money change will be done by banks themselves or their outlets at the airports or hotels. Conference and Business facilities:
The airport has a business centre with Internet access, fax and computer facilities. Also there are two hotels close to the airport which provide business services. They are the Airport Garden Hotel (Tel:10 6456 3388) and the Capital Airport Hotel (Tel:10 10 6456 4562). Disabled facilities:
The airport is easily accessible to disabled travellers. The Beijing Airport Ground Service Corporation can provide very good assistance for travellers with physical disabilities. Airport hotels:
The Airport Garden Hotel (tel: 10 6456 3388) and the Capital Airport Hotel (tel: 10 6456 4562) are close to the airport.
Terminal 3: The terminal 3 is opened in Feb, 2008. It is said that it is the largest terminal in the world! It mainly holds Air China, Oneworld, Star Alliance, and other domestic and international flights. The scale of the project is huge. The new passenger terminal is designed by Foster and Partners in partnership with Dutch airport planners NACO and engineers Arup. It is built to handle an immense increase in passenger capacity, expected to reach 60 million per year by 2015.
The terminal 3 looks like a dragon and is divided into 3 parts: T3A - the head, T3B - the tail and T3C - the body.
Both the domestic and international passagers get their passes at T3A. The domestic passagers also board from T3A. For internaional passagers, they have to go to T3B and board from T3B. The two-kilometre distance between T3A and T3B is a little far for walking, so there is a underground tunnel free mini-train linking the two in three minutes. T3C is temporily for 2008 Olympic Games. There are also free shuttle buses among T1, T2 and T3 in case you get a wrong terminal or you need a transit.
Airlines at T3:
Domestic arilines: Shandong Airline ( SD ), Sichuan Airline ( 3 U ), Air China ( CA ), Shanghai Airline ( FM )
