Day 01: Arrival in Beijing
Arrival in Beijing, met and transferred to your hotel. Free for the rest of the day.
Day 02: Beijing
Beginning the day with a visit to Tiananmen Square, the world largest square of this kind. Then move on to the imperial palace, also known as the Forbidden City that symbolizes the imperial and traditional China. After lunch go on with the visit to Temple of Heaven, the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest. Back to hotel. ( B L )
Day 03: Beijing
Today's highlight is to visit the great wall, symbol of Chinese civilization. After lunch, continue a visit to Dingling, one of the Ming Tombs, where 13 emperors were buried in Ming Dynasty. Peking Duck dinner and Peking Opera Show in the evening. ( B L D )
Day 04: Beijing--Urumqi by air
Morning of the Summer Palace. After lunch, take a flight to Urumqi. Met and transferred to your hotel Urumchi. Rest of the day is free for you. ( B L )
Day 05: Urumqi--Turpan by road
Take a private van or coach to Turpan and transferred to your hotel in Turpan. Today's highlight is to visit the Jiaohe Ruins that first built by the people of Jushi during the time span from the 2nd century BC to the middle of the 5th century AD, the Karez Well - a kind of underground water works invented and built by laboring people and the Sugong Pagoda - the only Islamic tower among the hundred famous towers in China. Day 06: Turpan - Dunhuang by road
Still in Turpan and visit the Gaochang Ruins - one of the best-preserved ancient city ruins in China, and once was a key point along the Silk Road, then the Baizikeli Thousand Buddha Cave where many of Silk Road Travelers stopped here to pay for a successfully journey. After lunch, move on to the Flaming Hill - not a death hill with nothing but sand and rocks and really a charming scenic spot in Xinjiang. After dinner, take an overnight soft sleeper train to Dunhuang. (B L D )
Day 07: Dunhuang
Arrival early in the morning at Liuyuan railway station. Met and transferred to your hotel in Dunhuang. After lunch you will be arranged to have camel-riding along the Echoing-Sand Dune that surrounded by rolling ridges and precipitous cliffs and offers superb picture-book desert scenery, then walk around reach the Crescent Lake - a crescent-shaped lake in the oasis. Day 08: Dunhuang--Lanzhou by air
Morning visit the Mogao Grottoes(also known as Thousand Buddha Cave), is one of three noted grottoes in China and also the largest, best preserved and richest treasure house of Buddhist art in the world.. After lunch, take a flight to Lanzhou. Met and transferred to your hotel. Lanzhou city tour of the Waterwheel Garden. ( B L )
Day 09: Lanzhou by road
Full day excursion to the Binglingsi Grottoes. It is about 80km from Lanzhou, there you are going to take a boat trip and enjoy the fine buddhist statues in the peaceful valley. Return to Lanzhou. Stay at your hotel ( B L )
Day 10: Lanzhou--Xiahe by road
Drive to Xiahe. Arrival in Xiahe and check in at your hotel. After lunch, first take the tour of the Sangke Grassland. It is a fertile alpine grassland surrounded by mountains on four sides. Then visit a local Tibetan family. ( B L )
Day 11: Xiahe--Lanzhou
Most of the day in Xiahe. First visit the Labrang, one of the six major Gelupa monasteries, arguably the biggest university of tibetanology. Then return to Lanzhou. Stay at your Hotel. ( B L )
Day 12: Lanzhou--Xian by air
Take morning flight to Xian. Met and transferred to your hotel in Xian. After lunch, first visit the City Wall- - a symbol of great significance of the famous historic cultural city of Xian. Then visit the Provincial History Museum, a large modern museum of the national level. After dinner, return to your hotel. ( B L D )
Day 13: Xian
Full day excursion to the Terracotta Warriors, a lifetime viewing of the extraordinary 2200-year-old terra-cotta Army of China’s First Emperor-Qin Shihuang. After lunch, drive back to Xian city center and visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda and the Great Mosque. After dinner --local specialty, the Dumpling Banquet, you will be arranged to enjoy Tang Dynasty Music and Dance Show. ( B L D )
Day 14: Xian--Shanghai by air
First visit Yuyuan Garden, a classical Qing Dynasty garden with over 30 pavilions linked by a maze of corridors and bridges over ponds. Just next to Yuyuan Garden is the Old City God's Temple Bazaar from the Song Dyansty. Then proceed to visit The Bund, one of the most noted waterfront and architectural symbols of Shanghai. After dinner, you will be arranged to enjoy Acrobatic Show at the Shanghai Centre Theatre. ( B L D )
Day 15: Exit from Shanghai
Transferred to Shanghai airport for your departure. ( B )
