Hi I have now been back in Scotland for 2 weeks and I thought it was time to write and thank you for arranging my tours and the additional flights from Shanghai to Dalian and then back to Beijing. I cannot speak too highly of the service provided together with the accommodation. My fears about Red Wall Hotel were totally unfounded. I found the accommodation to be very good and the service was also very good. I had the misfortune to lose my camera there and I was quite concerned as it happened on the second day of my holiday. Immediately I realised I had lost it, I spoke to the Assistant Manager who said don't worry. The camera had been found by one of the staff, the Bellboy I think and my camera was returned to me. Naturally, I gave a small reward to the finder. with regard to the tour in Beijing I found this also to be very good although a little rushed, perhaps some of the lesser visits, for example the one to the Pearl Factory Shop could be omitted. The guide certainly knew her stuff but I felt that perhaps she to thought it a little too much to do in one day. (she never made any comment to that effect- just a feeling) I cannot finish without saying how impressed I was with the pick ups at the Airports and Hotels. Each time I received a call to let me know exact timings of pickup and not once was I let down, the guides were always very punctual and courteous, particularly Susan( Trainee Guide) who met me on my initial arrival in Beijing, she had waited patiently for about 2 hours and I enjoyed her chat(conversation) on the way in to Beijing. I am sure that she will make an excellent guide. Please pass on to her my best wishes and thanks. You may if you wish give her my e-mail address and I can thank her personally.
