| Dragonair has announced it will resume its normal scheduled services to Phuket in Thailand on September 1. Flights to and from the island were unable to operate earlier due to the closure of Phuket International Airport.
Flight KA212 is scheduled to depart at 14:35 on September 1. An additional flight, KA212D, will be operated by a larger A330-300 aircraft to help clear up the backlog of passengers in Phuket resulting from the closure of the airport. Dragonair promptly made the necessary arrangements to get its services to the island operating again, with August 31's KA212 flight from Hong Kong to Phuket rescheduled to depart at 18:30. The airline has also been working hard to offer assistance to passengers and is resuming its services to Phuket as soon as operationally possible to minimise any inconvenience.
