Qinhuangdao Beidai River
Located in the southwest of Qinhuangdao City, about 16kms from the city center, Beidai River is a famous scenic spot resounded both home and abroad. It backs on Mt.Yan in the north, and faces the Bo Sea. Along the endless coast line distributes soft beach.
The seawater here is a natural bathing place with limpid water and well-situated salinity. Chairman Mao once said: “The sunlight, sea and air of Beidai River are the most attractive.” The key point of interests are countless, thereinto the most famous is called the Twenty four Scape.
Here is also note for the abundant kinds of birds, which is named the Aves Investigative base. The best season to view birds are from the middle of March to the late of May, the first of September to the middle of November.
The Climate here is warm-winter and cool-summer, the average temperature is about 24.5℃, so it is a ideal place for preventing sunstroke. In spite of the bathing place, the rest landscape also contains Yingjiaoshi, Jinshanzui, Tiger Stone, Lotus Stone, Kwan-yin Temple, Wanghai Pavilion.
Beidai River is the largest sanitaria and recovering center of China. In 1982, it was listed as the National Historic Sites and Scenic Spot. In 1999, It attained “the Outstanding Tour City” as well as “the Gardens City”.
