Tour Description
Pick up from your hotel in Shanghai between 7:20am amd 8:00am. Drive 200km south of Shanghai and get to Hangzhou - the capital of Zhejiang province and the most charming city in China. The South Song Dynasty (1127-1279) helped make Hangzhou famous when the imperial family moved there in the 12th century.
First visit Flying Peak. The charm of the legendary peak are the over 470 stone statues carved on its hillsides and riverbanks between the 10th and 14th centuries. 335 of the 470 Buddhist carvings are relatively well preserved.
Then move on to Lingyin Temple - one of the most famous Buddhist Temples in China. The Lingyin (Souls Retreat) Temple is one of the most famous Buddhist Temples in China. It was constructed in 326 at the foot of Lingyin Mountain by an Indian monk named Huili with a history of more than 1,600 years.
Then boating on the West Lake - West Lake is located to the west of Hangzhou, hence the name of " West Lake ". It is said that there are totally 36 "West Lakes "in China, the West Lake in Hangzhou is the most beautiful of 36 west lakes of the same name.
Proceed to visit Huagang Park ( Fish Viewing at the Flower Pond Park ). The Huagang Park was a private garden of an official in the Southern Song Dynasty about 800 years ago. Now it has been greatly renovated and turned into large park of over 20 hectares.
After lunch, visit the Longjing Tea Village and do free shopping at the tea plantation. Longjing actually means, "Dragon Well", a place suitable for the planting of the famous green tea. Longjing Tea is one of China's best teas and is one reason for Hangzhou's international fame.
End of service. Transferred to your hotel in Shanghai.
On the evening before your departure early next morning, you will get a call to your hotel room or a message at your hotel front counter by your tour guide to reconfirm your next morning's pickup time which is normally set around around 8:00 am.
On the morning of your tour departure date, our tour guide will go to your hotel ahead of your pick-up time in the lobby, holding a sign with your name. When you come down to the hotel lobby, just look around for the sign to meet our tour guide.
You will have the narratives of local history and culture by your tour guide while you are comfortably sitting in the air-conditioned vehicle of your exclusive use and enjoying the views passing by.
