Xi'an Chengdu Hangzhou Suzhou Shanghai Trip
April 08, 2008. Early in the morning we got uo at 4:30am to catch up the morning flight MU2341 from Xian to Chengdu. We landed safely at about 9:30 at the Chengdu Suangliu International Airport. Lily was our English speaking local tour guide in Chengdu. She speaks good Enlgish and knows how to communicate with the group. Our first tour program in Chengdu was to visit Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding - the largest Giant Panda Eco-park in the world. It is located about 20km north-east to Changdu. The Giant Panda is well known all over the world. It is regarded as"living foosil". After the visit to the panda base, we drove back to the downtown Chengdu for the lunch. The lunch at the second floor at Jinsha Century Hotel was very nice. After lunch, we drove to Leshan Giant Buddha, which is a statue of Maitreya in sitting posture. In December,1996, the the Giant Buddha was included by UNESCO on the list. Tonight, we stayed at Huasheng Hotel. It is a very nice 4-star Hotle.
