Beijing Jiufeng National Forest Park

Jiufeng National Forest Park is located in Beianhe, Haidian District, about 18 kilometers from the Summer Palace. Jiufeng Peak has a long history and used to be one of the 72 barracks of the Liao Dynasty. The two peaks look like a soaring vulture, so it was named Jiufeng Peak.
Covering an area of 832 hectares (2,056 acres), the forest park is a treasure house of green plants. The vast expanse of forest stretches before your eyes and you can imagine a magnificent scene. The verdant forest and varied landforms offers a playground to countless lovely little animals, such as wild chicken, hares, roe deer and squirrels.Since ancient times, Jiufeng Mountain is a well-known tourist resort. Jiufeng Peak attracts visitors with its winding and primitive paths. Its zigzagging ancient paths leading to the peak and its imposing and stunning scenery are also well-known in Beijing. Having natural landscapes that are rich in foliage resources, Jiufeng has become the best place to go for a good hike or just a good view of the Xiaoxishan Scenic Area.
