Tour Description
Pick up from your hotel in Beijing around 8:30am and first visit Tiananmen Square (40minutes), the largest city square of such kind in the world. Tiananmen Square is the heart and symbol of Beijing and is the biggest square in the world as well. The square can hold about one million people for public celebration or gatherings. Then move on to Forbidden City ( 2 hours ), also known officially as the Imperial Palace Museum. The Forbidden City was the seat of Imperial power for 500 years, and is now a major tourist attraction in China.
The 40-minute visit allows you to have a glimpse at the outside of Memorial Hall of Chairman Mao, the Monument to the People's Heroes, the magnificent Great Hall of the People, the National Museum of China, the ancient Zhengyang Gate and Arrow Tower as well as the Tiananmen Tower which leads to the well-known Forbidden City.
Exit from the northern gate of Forbidden City, move on to Jingshan Park (40minutes ) to have an eye-bird's view of this magnificent complex of Forbidden City. Jingshan Park is full of community activities, especilly on Sundays. Visit the place where the last Ming Dynasty Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself.

Exit from the northern gate of Forbidden City, move on to Jingshan Park (40minutes ) to have an eye-bird's view of this magnificent complex of Forbidden City. Jingshan Park is full of community activities, especilly on Sundays. Visit the place where the last Ming Dynasty Emperor Chongzhen hanged himself.
After Chinese lunch, continue to visit Beihai Park (40 minutes). Overshadowed by its neighbour – Forbidden City ( Palace Museum ), Beihai Park is very often neglected by many visitors. Often dubbed as Winter Palace by westerners, Beihai Park is the oldest imperial garden in the world as well as one of the largest in China.
Move on to to Back Lakes (Shichahai Area) (1.5hours) behind Beihai Park for Hutong tour ( hours). First walk along Houhai Bar Street and then take rickshaw going around the deep Hutong in Shichahai area, visiting an ordinary family in a courtyard. Then ascend the Drum Tower and have a bird's eye view of the old Beijing - Back Lakes Area (Shichahai area).

Tiananmen Square Travel Tips
For security reason, Tiananmen Square is a fenced square circled by low iron grids with main four entrances – east, west, south and north.
The square is now open to the public till midnight, but all the tourists have to pass a security check before they enter the square. So check points
