Fire God Shrine
Located at No.77 Di’anmenwai Avenue in Xicheng District, the Fire God Shrine faces the Shirine of the Buddha of Medicine across Qianhai Lake.
The temple was first built in the years 627-649, during the reign of Emperor Taizong of the Tang Dynasty.
The main structures face south, arranged along a north-south axis-front hall, central hall, rear hall, rear pavilion as well as some side buildings including halls of Lord G uan Yun, Jade Emperor, etc. the main gate faces east.
The Fire God enshrined in the central hall is a Taoist deity, with red eyebrows and a red beard.
