The village was inhabited from about 4500 BC. It is recorded that about 6000 years ago, a village was set up by a late Neolithic people. There were about 500 villagers who lived in the village. He ordered 720,000 conscript laborers to to build his royal tomb. It was completed just-in-time in 210 BC for his use. His son, the second Qin Emperor, saw his entombment.
