  1. Is the Flying Dragon Valley the same as the Jingdong Grand Canyon? On the english-visitbeijing.com.cn website it listed getting to Jingdong Grand Canyon as 918 from Dongzhimen, Bus 14 from Dongdaqiao or Bus 111 from Chongwenmen. Does that mean these 3 buses leave from various Beijing sites all arriving at the same place in Pinggu? It did not list any connecting bus to Jingdong Grand Canyon. Plus it listed the entry as 60rmb. Hoping for a little more guidence in getting to the Jingdong Grand Canyon. Thank you.

  2. Hello Erin,

Jingdong Grand Canyon is different from the Flying Dragon Valley. Jingdong Grand Canyon is located 5km to the west of Jingdong Karst Cave. The Jingdong Grand Canyon is similar to the Shilinxia Scenic Area in terms of landscapes.

As for how to get from Beijing downtown to the Jingdong Grand Canyon, the information from visitbeijing.com.cn may be outdated. You should take either Bus 852 0r 918 from Dongzhimen to the downtown of Pinggu. No matter you take bus 852 or 918, you all get off at the final stops at the Pinggu New Bus Station (平谷新车站). In the Pinggu New Bus Station, you will find the Bus 12 going for the Jingdong Grand Canyon. By the way, the Pinggu New Bus Station is the 4th stop of Bus 12 which arrive at the Jingdong Grand Canyon as its final stop.

  4. Dear tHinzAr,

Suggest you arrange your own transport instead of using the time-consuming public bus.
