Plan your Beijing night tour? If you can spare some time for the sightseeing at night, you are recommended to stroll Gui Jie ( Ghost Street 簋街), an almost 24-hour food street with numerous eateries. It is quite popular with local Beijing people, expats, tourists, etc .
Almost all the restaurants here are decorated in red – red store-front plaques, red lanterns and red lights with great vibe, a great place for friends, families and couples all to meet for dinner here.
Many of the local restaurants offer Sichuan food (spicy and greasy) and Beijing food which are represented by crayfish, frogs, hotpots, Beijing ducks, etc. Some restaurants have luxury appearances while others very basic. You may also find seafood, renovating foods and foreign brand restaurants like Subway.
The over-1000 meter Guijie ( Gui Jie) is located between Dongzhimen Subway Station of Line 2 and Bexinqiao Subway Station of Line 5. So you may walk from Dongzhimen Station or Beixinqiao Station to the brilliant food street with Beixinqiao being closer.
You may choose a restaurant and sit down for a bite of the local Beijing food. Generally prices here are reasonable though some people complain about the overpriced food offered by some restaurants. Or, you may just have a walk along the colourful and vibrant gourmet street in Beijing.
