Beihai Park is just located to the northeast of Forbidden City. Beihai Park was once the imperial winter palace opposite to Summer Palace. The former imperial winter park is mainly composed of five parts – Qiongdao ( Jade Isle ), East Shore and North Shore, Circular City and Arboretum.
