Beijing has two famous pedestrian streets – Wangfujing Street and Qianmen Street. They are both commercial streets lined with plenty of stores and restaurants. Wangfujing Street has more department stores while Qianmen Street more international brand special shops and boutiques.

Both Wangfujing and Qianmen are a great place for people watch, experiencing Chinese culture and atmosphere. Strolling along the streets in the evening is a pleasant familiarization and sightseeing walk, getting closer to the local people and culture and having your eyes satisfied with the multi-colored streets.

Now follow me to have a night view of Qianmen Street. The 800-meter street is located along the north-south axis, just on the south of Tiananmen Square.

Walk south through the massive Arrow Tower on the south of Tiananmen Square. Below is the picture of the Arrow Tower’s east side.

Behind the massive tower “Arrow Tower”, I continue to walk south through the Pailou (decorated archway) and turn back , facing the north with a beautiful view of Arrow Tower and the Decorated Archway (Pailou).
