We had an absolutely perfect day with our tour guide - Rogin Luo - who took us for a hike along The Great Wall! Didn't know what to expect and were thrilled to have him as our guide. Very imformative, knowledgable and fun! We go to experience a part of The Great Wall that was unrestored and see all its natural beauty. Got a long history lesson along the way!

After the hike, we all went to lunch at a small place at the bottom of the hill. Located in a house, we ate lunch in the proprietors bedroom! What a hoot! Rogin is the Best of the Best! This tour company delivered for us and we are extremely grateful.

Xiamen International Cruise Terminal is a massive 3-storey building with a total area of 82,000 square meters. It has customs passages, waiting areas, restaurants, cafes and other service establishments. To the south of the Xiamen Cruise Port is the Xiamen Kinmen Passenger port with two 80-meter long pontoons, offering the transit service between Taiwan and mainland China.

Xiamen is a seaport city well known for its fresh seafood and local Xiamen food. There are many eateries and restaurants inside the termonal buildings offering a variety of foods. In the downtown area, you will find plentiful restaurants and small eateries along Zhongshan Road and Jukou Street at the intersection of Zhongshan Road and Siming North Road. Beside seafood, many places offer Sichuan and Taiwanese food.

The local foods include Oyster omelet, Xiamen Fish Balls, Shrimp Noodle Soup Braised Duck with Ginger, Sea worm Jelly's, Xiamen Spring Roll, Crab porridge and many more.

Like other big cities, Xiamen also has a pedestrian street - Zhongshan Road. It is teeming with shops and street vendors.
