Hongqiao Market

 It is an indoor mall with a seafood market in the basement and about 3 floors up. Located near the Temple of Heaven on Tiantan Street, this market offers antiques, clothing, porcelain, produce and much more. Shop all three floors in the main building, but don't miss the antiques hidden behind the pearl stalls on the third floor. Lots of souvenirs. It's our advice to bargain for the deal, and don't expect quality. If you are thinking of buying something like a camcorder, it's best to turn to Wangfujing or Xidan. If you just want a CD player or a cheap camera, mp3 player, boom box, electronic dictionary, watch etc., Hong Qiao is not a bad choice. Hong Qiao can be reached by bus but its probably most convenient by taxi. |
