Lion Hill

 Lijiang Lion Hill is the world heritage scenic spots and historical sites and the most important part to the world culture heritage of Lijiang ancient town, because the appearance looks like the sleeping lion, so named lion hill. The hill covers a floor space of 15 hectare and qreenery on the hill,birdcall ceaseless. There were about 40 mulberry cypress that about 800 years, and about 90% is covered with forest. There is a magnificent structure named WanGu tower was made of wood on the hill. It was the sign of buklding in Lijiang city and was 33 meters high, 16 chief pillar,exceedingly high 22 meters. It was known as all wood building and one pillar exceedingly high no join structure one arch bridge in China. |
