Take the chairlift at Mutianyu and questions
|
Q:
Beijing Great Wall Tour I really could do without all the steps. If I take the chairlift at Mutianyu, will that be at ground level or do I need to take steps to the lift? Let us say I take it to Tower 10 and get off. Walk to Tower 6. Can I pickup the cable car at that tower to go down? I will be staying at the Forbidden City Hostel. Do you pickup from there? I have a friend who would like to do this too. We would want a private car and a driver who spoke English. A: (Only for your reference) Firstly, we want you know that the private day tour package BXIT-F06 (Mutianyu Great Wall & Summer Palace) includes the private transfer by car, local English speaking tour guide, entrance fees and Chinese lunch. All of our drivers are Chinese speaking only, but we will provide an English speaking tour guide for you. The private tour is flexible, so you can change the itinerary if you need. The price based on 2 travelers is USD 85 per person. Regarding the steps at the Mutianyu Great Wall, below is the information you need: 1. Chairlift You have to walk about 5 minutes from the ticket office to the starting point of chairlift (about 30 steps), and the chairlift stop at Tower 6. 2. Cable car You have to to walk about 15 minutes from the ticket office to the starting point of chairlift (about 30 steps), and the chairlift stop at Tower 14. After you get off the chairlift or cable car, you have to climb about 30 steps to the Great Wall. And after you hiking the wall, you have to return to the Tower 6 to take the chairlift down, or return to the Tower 14 to take the cable car down. If you need reservation, please advise. PS: the ticket of chairlift or cable car should be paid on your own. |
