Lu Xun Museum
The Lu Xun Museum opened to the public on the 20th anniversary of Lu Xun’s death on 19 October 1956 is the earliest “Memorial Hall for Literary Masters”. A new exhibition hall housed in a Beijing-style siheyuan was added next door to the former residence in 1994.The Lu Xun Museum has collected more than 30,000 cultural artifacts, including Lu Xun’s manuscripts, books and letters, diaries, as well as his collections of books, an ancient brick relief dated from the Han Dynasty, and epitaphtion held here, provides a vivid comprehensive illustration of the glorious life of Lu Xun, who has been hailed as the “commander-in-chief of China’s revolution in culture.”
