Wu Yunduo Memorial Hall
Wu Yunduo (1917-1990), an expert on ordinary, was engaged in the study of artillery technology. During the War of Resistance against Japanese Aggression, under extremely difficult conditions he developed the manufacture of powerful rifle grenades with launchers, as well as various types of mines and hand grenades.After New China was founded, he directed multiple projects including the study of recoilless artillery, anti-aircraft artillery and trench mortars. He also trained ordnance specialists, and made a great contribution to the modernization of equipment for the People’s Liberation Aarmy.
With over 300 articles and photographs, the Memorial Hall displays the great contribution made by Wu Yunduo who, hailed as the “Pavel Korchagin of China,” pioneered the cause of ordnance for the New China.
