The town of Luzhi is 18 km to the east of Suzhou with a history of over 1,000 years. The town covers a population of about 50,000 and has 32 administrative villages under its control. It covers Of its total area of 5,000 hectares, of which, 3,300 hectares are farmland and 1,330 hectares are lakes and rivers. The ancient town is one of the main scenic and tourist spots in the Taihu Lake Scenic Area. It has a great number of national-level cultural relics under the protection of the State council.One of the features of the town is its numerous bridges and plenty of waters. The 41 bridges are still well preserved with its unique design.
