Tour Description
Pick up from your hotel in Guangzhou around 9:00am. First visit Chen Clan Temple, an ancestral shrine for the Chen clan built 1894 with exquisite carvings, paintings and ornate scrollwork. Then move on to visit Nanyue King Museum, the mausoleum of the Nanyue King dating to 2000 years ago and accidentally discovered in 1983.
After lunch, continue to visit Yuexiu Park, a green belt in the city center of Guangzhou housing gardens, shaded wood paths and musuems and take a picture of the symbol of Guyangzhou - the sculpture of five rams. Move on to Peasant Movement Institue: the Institute was set up in 1924 by the CCP at a site of a former Confucius Temple. Mao Zedong and Zhou Enlai both taught here.
Then enjoy shopping in Beijing Road, one of the most popular shopping streets in Guangzhou. At the end of the day tour, you are transferred back to your hotel in Guangzhou 5:00pm.
