Number of Terminal: Now Beijing Capital International Airport has three terminals ( T1, T2 and T3 ) in operation.
Terminal 1 (T1) of Beijing Capital Airport:
T1 is a two-storey building with the arrival hall on the first floor and departure on the second foor. Now it is exclusively used by Hainan Airline domestic flights (HU, Xinhua, Golden Deer ). Hainan Airline Hotline: 950718 (24 hours )

Inter-Terminal Shuttle Bus of T1: If you get to a wrong terminal or you want to have a transit from T1 to T3, you may use free Inter-Terminal Shuttle Bus Service.
T1 is the smalliest of the three at the Beijing Capital International Airport. In the terminal 1, there are about 50 check-in counters, so this visitor reduces queuing time and passengers will find the boarding much easier, comfortable and convenient.
In the waiting hall of the terminal 1 ( the first floor), there are KFC, Lok Hodges, Starbucks a number of affordable fast-food restaurants and coffee shops. It is said that these stores have not made the commitment to price hikes, in other words, visitors can enjoy these for the same prices elsewhere.
T1 and T 2 are linked by a 750 meter channel. It only takes 10 minutes' walking between the two terminals. The channel keeps the visitors from taking the wrong path and missing their flights.

Terminal 2 has three floors. The first floor is for arrival flights while the second floor is for departure flights. The third floor is for airline offices, bars and restaurants.
Terminal 2 is both for international flights and most of the domestic flights. On the second floor for departure flights, Gate 1-10 is for international flights while Gate 11-16 is for domestic flights.
The terminal 2 has a car parking lot which has a multi-storey car park. The second open-air floor parking lot is mainly for coaches, van and taxis while the first and underground 3 floors are mainly for private cars.
Due to the terminal 3's opening, many of the domestic and international flights have been moved from the terminal 2 to the new terminal 3.

Airport taxi at Terminal 2:
Metered taxis are available on the first floor just outside the Arrivals area (travelling time to the city centre: 40 minutes); it is advisable that passengers have the destination written in Chinese or indicated on a map. It's very often that you have to wait in line for quite some time to catch a taxi. There is no big difference between the various taxi companies in Beijing.
When arriving at the airport, keep away from drivers who approach you in the terminal or outside the terminal as they will ask for much more than the actual price. There is a taxi line just outside the terminal. Drivers should use their meter; make sure that the driver puts down the flag. Taking a taxi from the airport to Beijing downtown costs between RMB 100 and 200 according to the different distance. Beijing legitimate taxi license plates will be for the "Beijing B" otherwise it is a black taxi! After paying a legal taxi, you will get a legal computerized receipt in which you can find the taxi company's phone number while a black driver only offers you a hand-written receipt with which you will never find him! A black driver would charge you RMB 400 - RMB 500 for the airport downtown drive. See "Beijing Taxi" for information.
Shuttle bus at Terminal 2:
The Airport Shuttle Bus departs from outside Arrivals and takes 9 routes into the city: Xidan, Gongzhufen, Zhongguancun, Fangzhuang, Shangdi, Wangjing,Beijing West Train Station, Beijing Railway Station and Tongzhou. The most popular route is to Xidan in central Beijing, a short walk from the Forbidden City. The other routes are to Gongzhufen in western Beijing and to Zhongguancun in the city"s northwest district; Fangzhuang at the southern Beijing and Beijing Railway Station. Beijing Airport Express Train:
The train operates every time per 15 munites. It starts from Terminal 3, which has two stops - Terminal 2 and Sanyuan Bridge before getting to the destination - Dongzhimen where you can change for Sunway Line No.02, No. 13 and Olympics Line. The express train is clean and bright. After all, the train is built in a personalized style, luxury and comfortable. It is spacious with wide corridors. It only takes about half hour from Terminal 3, to T2 and Dongzhimen. The train ticket costs RMB 25 per person. The entrance to the Express Train at T2 is by the Gate 11 on the first floor. Terminal 2 facilities:
Money and communications: Facilities include several banks, an ATM, telephones and a post office. Eating and drinking: There are cafés and restaurants at T2.
Shopping: There are shops, including duty-free. Other facilities: there is a 24-hour medical centre at the airport. Changing money at the airport enjoys the same rate as the hotels and banks downtown. There is no "Money Change" house like other coutries in Beijing China. All the money change will be done by banks themselves or their outlets at the airports or hotels.
Conference and Business facilities:
The airport has a business centre with Internet access, fax and computer facilities. Also there are two hotels close to the airport which provide business services. They are the Airport Garden Hotel (Tel:10 6456 3388) and the Capital Airport Hotel (Tel:10 10 6456 4562).
Disabled facilities:
The airport is easily accessible to disabled travellers. The Beijing Airport Ground Service Corporation can provide very good assistance for travellers with physical disabilities.

Terminal 3:
The terminal 3 is opened in Feb, 2008. It is said that it is the largest terminal in the world! It mainly holds Air China, Oneworld, Star Alliance, and other domestic and international flights. The scale of the project is huge. The new passenger terminal is designed by Foster and Partners in partnership with Dutch airport planners NACO and engineers Arup. It is built to handle an immense increase in passenger capacity, expected to reach 60 million per year by 2015.
The terminal 3 looks like a dragon and is divided into 3 parts: T3A - the head, T3B - the tail and T3C - the body.
Both the domestic and international passagers get their passes at T3A. The domestic passagers also board from T3A. For internaional passagers, they have to go to T3B and board from T3B. The two-kilometre distance between T3A and T3B is a little far for walking, so there is a underground tunnel free mini-train linking the two in three minutes. T3C is temporily for 2008 Olympic Games. There are also free shuttle buses among T1, T2 and T3 in case you get a wrong terminal or you need a transit.

Terminal 3 Shuttle Bus service
The Terminal No.03 ( T3 ) is a huge 4-storey building. The T3 Bus Terminal is located outside the first floor of T3. Your arrival hall is on the second floor. That means you have to take a lift to the first floor and buy the bus ticket at the ticket desk there, and go out of the building. Once outside, you will see several rows of buses waiting by the side of big signboards showing different bus routes. Please check the signboards to find your right destination. Terminal 3 Taxi Service
The Terminal No.03 ( T3 ) is a huge 4-storey building. The T3 Taxi Terminal is located outside the underground floor of T3. Your arrival hall is on the second floor. That means you have to take a lift to the underground floor, and go out of the building. Once outside, you will see the taxi terminal with one row of taxis waiting. Beijing Airport Express Train:
The train operates every time per 15 munites. It starts from Terminal 3, which has two stops - Terminal 2 and Sanyuan Bridge before getting to the destination - Dongzhimen where you can change for Sunway Line No.02, No. 13. The express train is clean and bright. After all, the train is built in a personalized style, luxury and comfortable. It is spacious with wide corridors. It only takes about half hour from Terminal 3, to T2 and Dongzhimen. The train ticket costs RMB 25 per person. The indoor Express Train Station is outside the main building of T3 linked by 4 long and spacious corridors, two linked to the second floor for arrival flights, and two linked to the fourth floor for departure flights. Free Inter-Terminal Shuttle Bus Service:
If you get to a wrong terminal or you want to have a transit at the different terminals of Beijing capital airport, you can use free Inter-Terminal Shuttle Bus Service.
Every 10 minutes, there is a free shuttle bus leaving from Terminal 3 for Terminal 2 and then Terminal 1, vice versa. Each bus takes about 10 minutes for one-way transfer.
