The Schoolhouse by the Mutianyu Great Wall
The Schoolhouse was once an abandoned elementary school in the village by the Mutianyu Great Wall. The Schoolhouse is now a cool place, an unique garden-like campus rebuilt and restored by the people keen to sustainable tourism, country cooking, glass making and great weekend getaways. 
The Schoolhouse Canteen
the renovated classrooms serve as the restaurant with yellow, green and violet windows and each table topped with a bunch of wild flowers. Its canteen offers foods using the fresh local ingredients and made in their own sanitary kitchen. The Scoolhouse canteen's regular menu is focused on light Italian food with homemade ice cream, sorbets and chocolates.
A Glass Studio and an Art Room
Eating is not the only reason for you to come to the Schoolhouse. The Schoolhouse courtyard holds a mesmerizing glass studio where you can see the glassblowers in action and the making of glass.
A Simple Luxury Chinese Style Countryside House
The host of The Schoolhouse also has a Simple Luxury Chinese Style Countryside House, just cross the Schoolhouse. If you hate to leave, and would like stay longer, you may rent a custom home from the countryside House.
