Ming Dynasty City Wall Relics
It is located in the central part of Beijing. It ranges from the Southeastern Corner Tower in the east to Chongwen Men (the Gate of Esteeming Culture) in the west and covers an area of 15.5 hectares, including 3.3 hectares of city wall site and the southeastern corner tower and 12.2 hectares of greenery patches.
Beijing Underground City
With a possible Soviet invasion looming large 1960s, Beijing locals set out to go underground. The shadow city was dug by volunteers from all works of life in Beijing. the 10 years found about 2000 people armed with simple tools creat this underground network, which is uses as warehouses, hotels ,restaurants as well as a place for curiosity seeking tourists. The sections of the underground city is hidden in the narrow street near Qianmen close to Tiananmen Square.
The Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall
The Beijing Planning Exhibition Hall is designed to introduce the long history of the immortal city of Beijing, display the great achievements of the modern urban planning and development, and exhibit the splendid future of Beijing's urban development. The 16,000 square-meter floor space is distributed on 4 floor levels in the Hall, with 8,000 square meters for exhibits.
Zhengyangmen Arrow Tower
Zhengyangmen (The Gate of Straight Positivity) lies on the same north-south axis as the imperial path through the Forbidden City, and it was the route the emperor took when he went to Tiantan (The Altar of Heaven), in the outer city, to make offerings.
Tiananmen Square
It is a huge open space in the center of Beijing. The Square is directly south of the Imperial Palace and is flanked on the east by the Museum of Chinese History, to the west by the Great Hall of the People.
Window Shopping at Dashilan Street
Dashilan street was a commercial center of Beijing more than 500 years ago. Now its old shops and small stalls are still preferred by Beijingers.
Qianmen Quanjude Roast Duck Restaurant
This is Beijing's most famous Peking Duck restaurant, and also one of the oldest, having been established in 1864. The huge, plush dining hall is filled with diners eager to try this dish in its most authentic setting.
Beijing Ancient Architecture Museum
Beijing ancient Architecture Museum is located in Beijing Xiannong Altar, which is the first special topic museum of China concentrated in collecting, researching and displaying of China ancient architecture technologies, art and its development history.
