Tour Itinerary :
We suggest you start the tour from your hotel at 8:00am. Driving along Badaling Highway, you will soon reach the Badaling section of Great Wall 70 KM away from Beijing, the close and most accessible wall. The Great Wall (Changcheng), totaling more than 12,000 kilometers, is arguably the most famous image of China throughout the world. It is the only man made object visible from the moon, and as one of the Eight Wonders of the world, the Great Wall of China lives up to its reputation. The best time to visit is early morning, before the tour buses arrive. If you make it past the hoards and hustlers and make the climb itself, the views are quite spectacular. The Great Wall is a symbol of Chinese traditional culture and the pride of the Chinese nation. Its worth taking a hike and reflecting on this incredible feat of mankind.
After lunch, we drive about 30KM and get to Guyaju Caves. Guyaju literally means the ancient cliff caves where ancient people lived-- a historic site of one thousand years. It sits in a tranquil gorge in the northwest of Beijing. The caves were made on a precipitous cliff by a group ancient people who were not accounted in any history books. There are 117 caves and this is the biggest win on caves in China. The man-made stone rooms were arranged one by one on the steep cliff wall in the gorge. They are rectangles or squares. Some caves are made up of one room, some several rooms. Some rooms are parallel, some rooms are divided into two stories. Some say they were constructed in Yuan Dynast or Wei. It is supposed to be the home of gangsters , or the camp of army, or the shelter to escape the war. Today everything disappeared. Guyajiu was left alone. Guyajiu is a big labyrinth of China. You are expected to explore the mythic place. After exploring the caves, you will be transferred back to Beijing.
