Hangzhou is in the South of the Yangtze River and has Humid Subtropical climate with four distinctive seasons, characterized by long, very hot, humid summers and short, cool to cold, cloudy and dry winters. Hangzhou receives an average annual rainfall of 1450mm and average annual temperature is 16.2℃. June, July and September are the rainy seasons and in early August, typhoons often bring heavy rain when clear skies and bracing air can be enjoyed almost every day.
