Day By Day Itinerary
Day 01
Hong Kong or Beijing
Today you may take flight or train from Hong Kong to Beijing ( air-ticket or train ticket is not included ). You will be met our English speaking tour guide and escorted to our pre-booked hotel in Beijing. You are free for the rest of the day.

Day 02
Beijing
After breakfast at your hotel, start your tour with the visit to Tiananmen Square (40 minutes), the largest public square in the world. Then move on to the Forbidden City (2 hours), the Chinese imperial palace from the mid-Ming Dynasty to the end of the Qing Dynasty.
To avoid the tourist meal, today you have a la carte lunch with an a la carte menu at a nice local Cantonese restaurant, where you could enjoy the authentic Chinese food.
After lunch, head to the Temple of Heaven (2 hours), the place where the emperors of Ming and Qing Dynasties worshipped heaven and prayed for peace and harvest. Continue to visit the Summer Palace (2 hours), originally a royal garden and a temporary dwelling palace for emperors of Qing Dynasty.

Day 03
Beijing
After breakfast, you are picked up at your hotel around 8:00am. Drive to the Ming Tombs ( Dingling, one of the 13 Ming Dynasty Tombs complex ). From the Yongle Emperor onwards, 13 Ming Dynasty Emperors were buried in this area. You will visit Dingling, the tomb of the Wanli Emperor, which is the only one of the Ming Dynasty Tombs to have been excavated.
After Chinese lunch, head to Mutainyu Great Wall to start your highlight of your Beijing tour, hiking the Great Wall of China, a massive military defense works which was left from the Ming dynasty. It is a very spectacular view. You will take lots of pictures. Back to your hotel.

Day 04
Beijing Shanghai
After breakfast at your hotel, head to the Shichahai Area (2.5 hours) - the old part of Beijing and visit a century-od old courtyard and learn about its history, layout, Fengshui, and its traditiona Chinese culture involved. Then take a pedcab and drive through the zigzag and narrow alleys or hutongs. Two people share one rickshaw. Drop off the peidicab at the Silver Ingot Bridge( Yinding Bridge ) and walk along the 800-year old Yandai Xiejie ( Tobacco Pipe Lean Street ), and get to the Drum Tower.
Ascending the 67-meter high and two-story Drum Tower dating from 1420 is sure to bring you back to the old Beijing by seeing the big drum tower and having bird's-eye view of the surrounding communities of hutongs and siheyuan - existing traditional courtyards in Beijing.
After lunch, head to the Olympic Green to have an outside look at the Bird's Nest and Water Cube. Then, transfer to Beijing South Railway Station to take the 5-hour highspeed train for Shanghai. You will be met our English speaking tour guide in Shanggai and escorted to our pre-booked hotel. You are free for the rest of the day.

Day 05
Shanghai
First visit Shanghai Museum, the selection of over 112,000 Chinese cultural relics from the Old Stone Age to modern times. You will be amazed to see the pottery that is over 10,000 years old. You have to go quickly though all the 4 floors. Then proceed to visit the pedestrians only Nanjing Pedestrian Road, a walking bustling street that is always packed with people watching other people. Then move on to the Bund, one of the most noted waterfront and architectural symbols of Shanghai.
Today you have a la carte lunch with an a la carte menu at a nice local restaurant, where you could enjoy the authentic Chinese food. After lunch, take one hour cruising on Huang Pu River. You start with the Hangpu River Cruise that will take you along the skyscrapers on the new area known as Pudong and the famous Bund that has a row of the early 20th century buildings near the river. Back to your hotel after boating.

Day 06
Shanghai
After breakfast, visit Yu Garden - Yuyuan Garden is the famous garden in Shanghai, close to City God Temple (Shanghai Bazaar). Yuyuan Garden was in the Ming Dynasty, over 400 years ago. Yuyuan Garden feaures exquisite and unique layout, picturesque scenery and the artistic style of the garden architecture, one of the highlights of Shanghai.
Then visit Tianzifang Street - Tianzifang is an artsy area that has developed from a renovated residential area (old Shanghai shikumen buildings) in the French Concession area of Shanghai. Now it houses bars, cafes, crafts shops, design studios, galleries and boutiques. Many local residents still live in the narrow lanes. Just be mindful and respect their privacy.
After Chinese lunch, explore the charming water town - Zhujiajiao, an ancient water town also known as the Shanghai's Venice. Zhujiajiao is full of the old buildings combined with the water canals, really authentic water village which represent the old Shanghai. A boat trip down the river and then walk through the small shopping streets, cross the amazing bridges, visit the beautifully laid out gardens and old houses. There are great opportunity for some great photographs. Back to hotel.

Day 07
Leave Shanghai
Transfer to airport or railway station for departure or free on your own and end your pleasant China trip.
