Day By Day Itinerary
Day 01
Arrival at Lhasa
Arrival in Lhasa (sea-level: 3658 m) with one and half hours'driving from Lhasa Gonggar Airport or 20 minutes from the Lhasa Railway Station to downtown Lhasa. Met by your Tibetan guide and transferred to your hotel in Lhasa to be acclimatized to the high altitude.

Day 02
Lhasa
Today's sightseeing: Drepung Monastery about 1.5 hour, and Sera Monastery 2 hour, overnight in Lhasa We will arrange you to see Drepung Monastery. Exactly which one of these two will be decided by our operate team.
Drepung Monastery - was built in 1416 and is the largest monastery of the Gelug Sect. It covers an area of 250,000 square meters. It is located on the Gambo Utse mountain, five kilometers from the western suburb of Lhasa.
Sera Monastery: Located 5km north of Lhasa, this monastery was the first Gelugpa monastery in Lhasa and has remained the main seat of this major Buddhist order ever since. About 600 monks are now in residence here. Debating takes place from 3:30pm to 5pm in a garden next to the assembly hall in the center of the monastery. There is a fine kora path around the monastery.

Day 03
Lhasa
Today's sightseeing: Potala Palace 1 hour & Jokhang Temple 1 hour, Barkhor street 1 hour,overnight in Lhasa
- The Potala Palace: Potala Palace is perched on the 130m-high Marpo Ri ( Red Hill ) with 13 storeys and more than 1000 rooms in the middle of Beijing Road, the heart of Lhasa City. It was once the winter residence of the Dalai Lama. The first recorded use of the site dates back to the 7th century AD when King Songtsen Gampo built a palace here. The present construction began during the reign of the fifth Dalai Lama 1645. It takes at least 2-hour to visit those rooms, halls and chapels.
- The Jokhang Temple: The 1300-year-old Jokhang Temple is now the spiritual center of Tibet. From earliest dawn to last light, daily worshipers and once-in-a-lifetime pilgrims make the inner circumambulation (kora) of the Jokhang to earn religious merit. Some of them prostrate outside circuiting the temple. The Jokhang Temple is best visited in the early morning. It now houses the life-sized statue of the twelve year-old Sakyamuni brought by Songtsan Gampo's Chinese wife - Princess Wencheng.
After that you will take a walk around the Barkhor street which is the one of the most devotional circuit as well as crowded central market of Lhasa, Barkhor Street is located in the old area of Lhasa City Tibet, it is a very ancient round street surrounding the Jokhang Temple and the locals are always proud of it. As a symbol of Lhasa, it is also a must-see place for visitors.

Day 04
Lhasa Namtso
Today's sightseeing: Lhasa - Namtso(4740m). 250km 5 hours. Overnight in Namtso.
- Lake Namtso: it is the second largest salt water lake in China only after Qinghai Lake. Namtso Lake is the biggest lake whole Tibet. It is also the highest altitude salt water lake in the world. The water here is crystal-clear blue. Clear skies join the surface of the lake in the distance, creating an amazing view!. Every visitor who has ever been here will find their souls to be cleansed by the pure lake water.

Day 05
Namtso Lhasa
Today's sightseeing: Namtso - Lhasa(4740m) - Yangpachen hot spring(optional)(4300m). 250km 5 hours. Overnight in Lhasa.
In the morning, enjoy the sunrise of the lake at the shore and do leisure trek around Tashi Island. After that, we will go back to Lhasa. On the way, you will visit Yampachen Hot Spring (The price includes the entry fee, but excludes bathing Fee, $8-$15/person for different pools). Yampachen lies just south of the Nyainqêntanglha Mountains, famous for Yampachen Hot Springs, at an altitude of 4290–4500m making it the highest altitude set of hot springs in China. Both indoor and outdoor swimming pools have been set up here, in which visitors can enjoy a bath.

Day 06
Namtso Lhasa
Leave Lhasa for your next destination
Your guide and driver will see you off at the airport or train station. Your Tibet tour ends.
