Lijiang Shopping
From the Tang Dynasty (618-907), Lijiang has been an important stop along an important trade road – Tea-Horse Trading Route, just as famous as the Silk Road. Reportedly, the legendary Tea-Horse Trading Road connects Kunming with Tibet and even further into India, which was prosperous in southwestern China. Of course, thousands of years of changes have resulted in the disappearance of the road. However, the Lijiang Old Town, which once was an important meeting point for all kinds of trade, nowadays, is till a distribution point for merchandise from different parts of China and abroad. The souvenirs are stamped with ethnic and folk features.

Bunun Bell
Everybody who has been to Lijiang shouldn’t be strange to Bunun Bell. Not only in Lijiang, but also in China, there is only one store owning Bunnun Bell. In the whole world, there are only 4 stores in number. The other three are separately in Katmandu of Nepalese, Calcutta of India and Athens of Greek. The landscapes of Lijiang on the bell are drawn by the shopper, Bunun himself. Besides, every bell has its own ring, which has flew to all directions of the world, sending-off safety and lucky.
Handwoven Cloth
Naxi minority lived a kind of autarkic life in the old time for the inconvenience transportation. For example, they weaved cloth by themselves, so the technique has been passed down from one generation to another. Their handwoven cloth features colorful pattern, and unvarnished texture with strong folk flavor.
Naxi Fresco
For the fresco collectors, Naxi Fresco is worth collecting. The Naxi Mural is praised as the gem of Naxi culture reflecting the kind and intelligent aspect of Naxi people. A piece of Naxi mural, with its elaborate pictures and use of pastel colors provides a wonderful decorationt to family and friends.

Lijiang is not only in possession of breathtaking sceneries and time-honored Naxi Dongba Culture, but also owns a variety of ethnic handicrafts, combining classic simplicity and modern vitality in a perfect
way. Even in the Qing Dynasty, Lijiang silver ornaments had won great reputation in Tibet, India, Nepal etc.. The silver ornament is soft and bright in color. It is said that it could also avoid evil spirits in the locals' minds.

Lijiang Snow Tea
Snow tea, also called as Taibai tea, got the name due to its color just as pure white as snow. It can not be cultivated, but totally a wild-growing plant. It grows in the Bryophytes area, which is about 4000 meters above sea-level. It has good efficacy in promoting the production of body fluid to quench thirst, clearing away heat and toxic material, moisturizing lungs, lowering blood pressure etc.
