There are mainly two passenger train stations in Luoyang, e.g. Luoyang Railway Station for K & T Trains and Longmen Railway Station for G trains (high-speed trains). Luoyang Railway Station is located in the city center while Longmen Train Station in the south of Luoyang city. To get from Luoyang Railway Station to Longmen Railway Station, you may take a 40-minute bus ride by taking public bus 26, 28, 33, 65, 66. The taxi ride from Luoyang Railway Station to Longmen Railway Station costs over rmb 30, taking about 15 minutes. From Luoyang Railway Station, take the public Bus No.81(bus fare 1.5 yuan) to get to Longmen Grottoes and the taxi fare about rmb 40; from Longmen Railway Station to Longmen Grottoes, you first walk about 10 minutes to the nearby bus stop of Bus 81, then take the bus to Longmen Grottoes or take a cab to Longmen Grottoes at the fare of about 15 yuan.
Luoyang is well connected by Longmen Railway Station to the outside with many high-speed trains from Beijing and Xian. In addition, many visitors come to Luoyang by train via its neighbour - Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province. Plus the easy overland transportation between Luoyang and Zhengzhou, Luoyang is more accessible than most people expect.

Luoyang Central Passenger Station
Situated in the 200 meters east of Luoyang Railway Station, most of the buses here are toward to other province, and other cities of Luoyang City.
Jinyuan Passenger Station
In the west of the Railway Station Square, the buses here are mainly to the circumjacent counties and scene spots, such as Shaolin Temple, Chongdugou and so on.
Guanlin Passenger Station
The routes of the station are similar to the Jinyuan Passenger Station, mainly to the circumjacent counties and scene spots.
When to Visit in Luoyang
Luoyang belongs to the north temperate continental climate zone. It has four distinct seasons. Spring is dry and windy. Summer is hot and rainy. Winter is cold and dry. Autumn is the best season to visit the city because of the humid and pleasant climate. Luoyang also has many special festivals that are held at different times every year. Luoyang City Layout
The city of Luoyang is sectioned into two parts by Luo River (Luohe) - Northen Part and South Part. The bulk of Luoyang extends across the northern bank of Luo River.The main avenue is Zhongzhou Road cutting through the city going from northeast to southwest where it meets the north-south Liberation Road which leads to Luoyang Railway Station and Luoyang Long-distance Bus Station. Luoyang airport is 12km in the northen Luoyang.
The Luoyang old city is in the northeast, north of the Luo River bank. The old city is composed of a maze of narrow and winding streets.
Longmen Grottoes and Longmen Railway Station are located in the south of Luoyang city proper.
Luoyang Taxi has over 4000 taxi at present, offered by 22 taxi companies. The present number of taxis in Luoyang is enough to meet the need of the market demand. So, it is more convenient and comfortable than buses in Luoyang.
Luoyang Taxi Fares:
•RMB5 for the first 2km
•RMB1-1.5 per km for the additional distance
•An extra fee will be charged if waiting for five minutes this extra fee equal to the distance surcharge of one kilometer
Public buses run till 8 or 9pm. Bus 83 runs to Luoyang airport from opposite the Luoyang Long-distance bus station. Buses 102 and 103 run to the old city of Lulyang.
Motorbikes are everywhere at the fare of RMB 3. Motor-rickshaws are also a good mode of travelling around in Luoyang.

The locals'favor is the soup, so the soup culture is abundant in Luoyang, such as Sour and Spicy Soup, Brewis, Bufan Soup, etc..
