Luoyang Longmen Railway Station
The city of Luoyang has two major railway stations, namely, Luoyang Railway Station and Luoyang Longmen Railway Station. Originally built in 1908 and expanded in 1992, Luoyang Railway Station is located at the northern tip of the Luoyang axis. Now this old railway station is used for T and K trains to Beijing, Shanghai, Lanzhou, Shanghai, Urumqi, Taiyuan and more.Luoyang Longmen Railway Station is designed for high speed trains and D trains (CRH) mainly coming from Xian and Zhengzhou at present. Longmen Railway Station is located at the southern tip of Luoyang axis, about 7km to south of city center of Luoyang, 5km to the north of Longmen Grottoes.
In near future, the high speed trains from Longmen Railway Station will be linked to Beijing, Xian, Shanghai and Wuhan.

The Main Building
Longmen Railway Station has been put in use since Feb 6, 2010. The main builing is a 3-storey concrete and steel structure in the European style.
Longmen Railway Station has six tracks
Longmen Railway Station has six tracks, served by three platforms and handles 6,000 passengers at peak hour.
Left Luggage at Longmen Railway Station
If you want to deposit your luggage, you may go to the left luggage on the first floor of Longmen Railway Station. If you face the station, the left luggage is on your left side on the first floor.
Taxi Sevice at Luoyang Longmen Train Station
The taxi stand is just opposite to the exit of Longmen Railway Station. If you want to take a taxi to the city center or Longmen Grottoes, you just walk out from the exit straight to the taxi sstand.

The taxi fare from Longmen Railway Station to Longmen Grottoes: approx.RMB20 - 30
The taxi fare from Longmen Railway Station to Luoyang City Center: approx.RMB50
Bus Sevice at Longmen Train Station
The bus terminal is just located across the taxi stand, about 60m from the exit of Longmen Railway Station. So it is very convenient for you to walk and roll your luggage to the bus stop for your bus ride to the city center.
At the time of my writing, there are 7 bus lines starting from Longmen Railway Station to the city center (including Longmen Grottoes and Guanlin Temple): Bus 28, Bus 33, Bus 49, Bus 67, Bus 71, Bus 75 and 76.

Bus 28 and 33 go to Longyang Railway Station
Train travel to Luoyang
Luoyang is well connected by Longmen Railway Station to the outside with many high-speed trains from Beijing and Xian. In addition, many visitors come to Luoyang by train via its neighbour - Zhengzhou, the capital city of Henan Province. Plus the easy overland transportation between Luoyang and Zhengzhou, Luoyang is more accessible than most people expect.
