Nan Tian Men on Mt. Tai, Shandong
At the end of Eighteen Pan (a kind of spiral path), Nian Tian Men is the peak at the spiral paths, with an altitude of 1460 meters. After repaired several times, the present architecture keeps a style of Qing Dynasty. Nan Tian Men is seated in the valley between Feilong Rock and Xiangfeng Mountain Rang. It seems to be a gate opening by itself.
Nan Tian Men is divided into two layers. The underlayer is vaulted gateway, set up with stone, 9.65 meter long from east to west, 6.26 meter from south to north and 4.7 meters high. A piece of couplets was enchased on the both sides of the stone gate. Below western side there is a stone shed. Inner wall enchased the establishing stele of Nan Tian Men, written by Du Renjie, Yan Zhong in Yuan Dynasty. The temple of Guan Yu is in the north of Nan Tian Men, offering the statue of Guan Yu.
