Changchun Tour
Changchun, literally "Long Spring", is one of most well-known green and garden cities in China. Changchun is the capital city of Jilin Province, a large metropolitan city in the northeastern China. It is also better known as an automobile city, often billed as "Detroit of China", the largest motor industrial base in China. Its prosperous film industry in 1950s and 60s also has earned it the name of "Film City" in China.
For people who are interested in the trail of the Puppet State Manchukuo, Changchun is a must worth sniffing out due its former status as the capital of the puppet state. There are a few Japanese influenced-buildings still in use today.
Changchun is also a jump-off board which allows you to further head to the city of Jilin, Yanji ( China's Korean Autonomous Region), Changbai Shan ( China's largest nature reserve ) and Ji'an ( once part of the Koguryo kingdom).
Changchun is a well-planned and compact city with a layout of spacious avenues and public squares. Basically it is a breeze to go from one place to another. But with the auto boom, the local traffic is getting more and more intense.
