Train Travel to Shenyang
Shenyang is the largest railway network in China's northeast. All major cities in China can be reached to Shenyang by rail. Currently Shenyang has two passenger railway stations - Shenyang North Railway Station and Shenyang South Railway Station ( also known as Shenyang Railway Station ). When to Visit Shenyang
Shenyang has a temperate monsoon climate characterized four distinctive seasons. Winters are dry and cold due to the Siberian anticyclone. Summers are hot and humid under the influence of the monsoon.The time between April and October is supposed to the golden time to visit Shenyang. 1) Manchu Imperial Palace (Shenyang Palace Museum) 沈阳故宫Shenyang Palace Museum is the former imperial palace of the early Qing Dynasty of China. The palace complex represents the highest level art of early Manchu palace architectures and Manchu's unique history and culture in the early stage. It is a magnificent palace that resembles a smaller Forbidden City in Beijing.
2) North Tomb (Zhaoling Tomb) 昭陵
Situated in Beiling Park, Zhao Ling ( Luminous Tomb ) is the burial site of the founder of Qing Dynasty – Huang Taiji (1592 – 1643) and his queen, Bo'er Jijite. The tomb's animal statues lead up to a mound where the emperor and his empress were buried. The traditional architectures and ornamentation around tomb site are magnificent. In 2004, Shenyang Zhaoling was put on the World Heritage List.
3) Fuling Tomb (福陵)
Fuling Tomb (福陵) is situated in the eastern suburb of Shenyang, so it is also named Dongling (East Tomb). It is the mausoleum of Nurhachi, the founder of Qing Dynasty, and his queen. With a history of more than 360 years, works on the tomb began in 1629 and accomplished basically in 1651.
4) Former Residence of Zhang Zuolin and Zhang Xueliang 张作霖和张学良故居
Zhang Zuolin (1875–1928) was the warlord of Manchuria from 1916 to 1928. He was killed by a bomb planted by a Japanese Kwantung Army officer on 4 June 1928. Zhang Xueliang ( 1901 – 2001 ) was the actual ruler of Manchuria and much of northern China after the assassination of his father.
5) Liaoning Provincial Museum 辽宁博物馆
Liaoning Provincial Museum (辽宁省博物馆), established in 1949, is the first museum in new China. Its original location was in No.26, Shiwei Road, Heping District, Shenyang City, where was the former official residence of Yulin Tang, the leader of Feng warlord. In July, 2003, it moved to a new, specially-designed building on the east side of Government Square.
6)18 September History Museum 九一八历史博物馆
Situated in South Wanghua Street, Dadong District, Shenyang, 918 historical museum (沈阳918博物馆) is built to remind people of the 918 incident. On 18th, September, 1931, the city of Shenyang fell under Japanese occupation, and later the whole China's northeast.
7) Zhongjie Pedestrian Street in Shenyang 沈阳中街
It is a vehicle-free commercial street, 1500 meters long, the earliest shopping street in Shenyang and the first walking street in China. Now Zhongjie Pedestrian Street is packed with shopping malls, department stores, restaurants. Scattered in the alleys along the street you can find numerous free markets offering a great variety of goods.

1. Public Bus A wide expansive network of public buses allows you to move easily around the city of Shenyang. Most of the public buses in Shenyang are self-service ticketing and change is not given. The bus rides to the major attractions with the city proper charges one yuan. Usually ticket price is displayed on information signs at the bus stops.

2. Sightseeing Buses

There are two metro lines in operation - Line 1 and Line 2, which interchange at Qingnian Street.
