Itinerary:

Day 01: Beijing - Shanghai overnight train

Afternoon pick-up from your hotel in Beijing and transfer to Beijing Southern Train Station and take overnight train D307 ( 21:30 - 07:34am next day ) for Shanghai (four sharing cabin).

Day 02: Shanghai - Beijing by flight by flight

Arrival at Shanghai Train Station at 07:15am, met and transfer to a nice hotel for buffet breakfast and freshening up.

After breafast, drive to the Bund. The Bund (Waitan) is one of the most noted architectural symbols of Shanghai. The Bund in Shanghai was first used when the first British company opened a office there in 1846. The Bund, or the waterfront,is now surrounded by about 50 various buildings of different architectural styles including Gothic, Baroque, Romanesque, Classicism and the Renaissance.

Then walk along the famous Nanjing Road. Naning Road is a pedestrian street that is always packed with people waching other people. It is regarded as the first commercial road in Shanghai. The 5.5-km long Nanjing Road is the most bustling and prosperous street in Shanghai.

Head to the impressive Oriental Pearl TV Tower. The Broadcasting & Television Tower of Oriental Pearl is the world's third tallest TV tower after the 553-meter CN Tower in Toronto and the 535-meter Moscow TV Tower. Ascend the TV Tower and have a bird-eye view of Shanghai city.
You will enjoy your buffet lunch a the revolving restaurant of the Tower.

Continue to drive to the wharf near the Bund for the one hour cruising along the Huangpo River. Huangpu River winds about 114 kilometers from Dingshan Lake, the source, northward to Wusong Kou, where it meeets with the Yangtze River. 40 km of the river is within the area of the big Shanghai. It is only about 400 meter wide and 9 meter deep, but it holds about one third of the China's total international trade. Huangpu River is the sign of Shanghai. It supplies water to the 13 million people in the metropolis and is also important for navigation, fishery, tourism and receiving wastewater.

After the whole day tour, you will be transferred back to Shanghai Airport for your flight back to Beijing.
