For the Xian Beijing High Speed Train, Xian terminus is at Xian North Railway Station while Beijing terminus at Beijing West Railway Station.
2. Be Aware of the Right Airports from Shanghai to Xian and from Beijing back to Shanghai
If you are going to visit Xian from Shanghai by flight, you should be aware of the right airport from Shanghai. Basically there are two major airports in Shanghai - Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (SHA) and Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG).
Both Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (SHA) and Shanghai Pudong Airport (PVG) have flights from Shanghai to Xian or back from Beijing. If your flight ticket shows PVG, then it is Pudong Airport while SHA for Shanghai Hongqiao Airport.
