Chengde Railway Station
Chengde Railway Station was orginally built 1936 and completed on May, 1941. After 1949, Chengde Railway Station's main building was reconstructed and moved to the present location in the southeast corner of Chengde City. Generally speaking, the present train station in Chengde is small in size and a little chaos, like a disordered market teemed with vendors, taxis, buses, hotel touts, incomparable with its reputation as a world famous tourist city.
Chengde Railway Station is owned snd managed by Beijing Railway Administration. The Beijing Chengde rail line is 256km in length. Chengde Beijing train tickets can also be booked here in Beijing due to the computerized ticket reservation system between the two cities.
There are two train stations in Chengde - Chengde Railway Station and Chengde East Railway Station. Most of the trains arrive at Chengde Railway Station from Beijing (Beijing Railway Station). The most used trains between Beijing and Chengde are listed below:

Chengde City is mainly composed of three connected parts - City Center, Summer Resort and Eight Outer Temples. The public transprotation at Chengde Railway Station brings you to the three areas by using taxis and buses. A taxi ride from the train station to the city center or to the eight outer temples cost you between RMB 10 and RMB 20. Bus 5,7,11 can take you to Chengde Summer Resort. From Summer Resort, you can take bus 6 and 15 to get to the eight outer temples.
