Pick up from your hotel around 19:30 and transferred to Beijing West Train Station. Take overnight train to Hohhot from Beijing by K89 at 21:00 for Hohhot. 4 people sharing one compartment.
Arriving at 7:20am, you will be met by our local tour guide in Hohhot and transferred to your hotel - Jinjiang International Hotel ( 5 star hotel ) for buffet breakfast. After breakfast, if the hotel is not fully booked, you will check in and have a break in your room.
Around 10:00am, begin your city tour in Hohhot. Your first stop will be Dazhao Lamasery. Dazhao lamasery is the first Lama temple in Hohhot. For hundreds of years, it has been regarded as a religious heart for people from all over Mongolia. Then move on to Saishanglaojie. Saishanglaojie literally means "Old street beyond the Great Wall". Located on the west of Dazhao Lamasery, it is an ancient street with the characteristics of Ming and Qing Dynasty.
After Chinese lunch, visit Five Pagoda Temple. The Five Pagoda Temple is an important Tibetan Buddhist temple, which has been viewed as the symbol of Inner Mongolian now. As there are five small dagbas on the pedestal of the pagoda, it is named Wuta Si, Five Pagoda Temple.
Then, you will visit the Hui District in Hohhot. You first visit the Great Mosque. The Great Mosque was founded during the reign of Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911). A great number of the Hui Muslim Minority migrated from Xinjiang, Ningxia and Shannxi to Inner Mongolia starting from that time. Then having a walk along the unique Islamic Street - Tongdao Street lined with Islamic Style buildings.
Then head to Yili Dairy for an industry tour of the dairy giant in China. Yili Dairy or Yili Group is a short form of its formal name - Inner Mongolia Yili Industrial Group. It is one of the two largest dairy producers in China with another being Mengniu Dairy.
After the whole day tour, back to your hotel - Jinjiang International Hotel.
After breakfast, check out your hotel around 9:00am and start your city tour first with Jiangjun Yashu. During the Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), in order to consolidate the northwest boarder, in addition to the Hohhot city, Qing Dynasty ordered to build new town called Suiyuan city. Jiangjun Yashu, built for the general of the Suiyuan city, covers an area of 15,000 square meters.
Then continue to visit Zhaojun Tomb. Wang Zhaojun was one of the four well-known beauties in ancient China. She was born in Han Dynasty and was selected to imperial palace and later was willing to marry Chanyu, the emperor of Xiongnu wishes to make friendly relationship with Han Dynasty by marrying a fem of Han Dynasty. she also made great contributions to remain the good relations between Han and the Xiongnu group, and won the respect of local people.
Head to Inner Mingolia Mueseum to learn some basic knowledge of the development of Inner Mongolia. The Inner Mongolian Museum is a provincial level museum, the largest and best museum in Inner Mongolia. It has a wide selection of ethnic Mongolian items, and a historical lineage of this huge grassland province.
After dinner - mutton hot pot, you are transferred to Hohhot Railway Station and take overnight train K90 starting at 21:23 - next day 7:20am for Beijing.
Arrival in Beijing at 7:20am and transferred to your hotel or residence in Beijing.
