History: Haiyan has set up the county administration since the Qin Dynasty and is called the village full of fish and rice, place of silk cloth, county of perfect etiquette and fantastic destination for tour. It has been among the coastal economic zone chartered by state council since 1985, the whole county's area is about 534.73 square kilometers in land and 537.9 square kilometers in water with a population of 370,000 and 8 towns, namely Wuyuan, Ganpu Qinshan and so o¬n.
Transportation: With the developed transportation, Haiyan is the main part of South line of Silk Road in Qinghai. National Road 15 passes through the whole county.
Haiyan is 100k from Xining. You can take a flight or train to Xining and head for Hariyan by trains or bus. Xining Long-distance Bus Station scheduled buses to counties in Haiyan.
Attraction: Jinyintan Granssland- Jinyintan Grassland in west of Qinghai Lake is a typical Tibetan pasturing area. Every year in mid-June, the rape flower sea in Menyuan County attracts many visitors for its beautiful scenery.
