History: As early as Tang Dynasty, Bole city kept a close relation with central plains. At that time, Bole was one of the important cities along Silk Road.
Climate: The climate in Bole is rainy and snowy in spring and winter. The average temperature is 5.5℃, and the lowest is -17℃ and the highest is up to 23℃. The whole year is windy.
Transportation: The Second Eurasia Land Bridge go through the city. The Highway and railway are both convenient.
Major Attractions:
Mysterious Stone Valley - Located about 40 kilometers west of Bole City at the foot of the Alataw Mountain, the Mysterious Stone Valley is the largest featuring stone formations in West China. Here the mountains and stones form the different shapes and make you think of many kinds of animals. It is only 30 kilometers (19 miles) northwest of the famous lake in Junger Basin, Aibi Lake.
Sarim Lake – Sarim Lake is located between the Mongolia Autonomous Prefecture and the Yili Hakhaz Autonomous Prefecture in Northwest China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region. It covers an area of 458 sq km, ten times as big as the Tianshan Lake. The lake is 2,703 meters above the sea level and is the highest and largest lake in Xinjiang.
