Qingyuan Travel Guide
Location:Situated in northern Guangdong Province, Qingyuan belongs to the north end of the Pearl River Delta in geography. It is bordered by Guangzhou in the south, neighboring Hunan and Guangxi provinces in the north.
History:
Qingyuan is an ancient town, first founded as a county in the Qin Dynasty (221-207BC) and Qingyuan County again in the Han Dynasty. It was recognized as a prefectural city in 1988. under its jurisdiction there are one urban district (Qingcheng District), three countries (Fogang, Yangshan and Qingxin), two autonomous countries (Lianshan Zhuang and Miao Autonomous Country and Liannan Yao Autonomous country) and two cities at county level (Yingde and Lianzhou).
Transportation:
Qingyuan does not have its own airport but Guangzhou Airport is only 30km away.
Jing-Guang (Beijing — Guangzhou) Railway runs through the east of Qingyuan and it is also the unique railway in Qingyuan. And the trains from Qingyuan to Beijing, Guangzhou, Changsha, Chongqing and Wuchang are available.
No.106, No.107 and No.323 National Highway runs through Qingyuan City.

Snacks in Qingyuan are also featured, such as Plain Chicken, Mashed Tea Gruel and Rice Noodles.
Weather:
With an average annual temperature of 12℃in January and 28℃in July, it has a mild subtropical weather with a rich rainfall of 2200 millimeters annually.. From April to October is the season with much rain, especially in August thunder-storms happens very often. In November and December, there is much less rain. The scenery here has great charm and it is suitable for tourism in all the four seasons.

Guangdong Number One Peak
Guangdong Number One Peak Scenic Area is situated at Lingnan National Nature Reserve, which is 200 kilometers away from Gangzhou City.
The Guangdong Number One Peak is 1,902 meters ranking the highest peak in Guangdong. In this scenic area, there are several other scenic spots, such as the Yao's villages, waterfalls, alpine springs and drifting sites.
If you want to go there, go to Guangzhou first, and then go there by bus along Guang-Qing Highway.
Feilai Valley
Feilai Valley is located at the east of Qingyuan City. It is 11 kilometers away form Qingyuan City and 68 kilometers away from Guangzhou City.
Feilai Valley, with a long history, is also called Yu Valley, or Qingyuan Valley. It is named from the ancient temple – Feilai Temple which is on the northern bank of the valley. Feilai Valley is the most dangerous place in North River Gorges.
The two sides are surrounded by green apices and forest. There are famous Guiyuan Cave, Heguang Cave, Woxian Cave, Ningbi Gulf, Baipao Pool and Jinsuo Pool in the valley.
